Sea grapes' Nutritional Value

According to Japanese medical experts, besides the antibacterial effect, laxative and blood tonic, seaweed also helps prevent serious diseases such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, obesity and goiter. Because of its preciosity, scarcity and nutrients, seaweed is called umibudou (sea grape) by Japanese.
Besides the beautiful color and shape, sea grape is also favored by better utilities than other types of seaweed as it is a clean, green, brittle and sweet vegetable. In addition, it is unfishy and easy to eat, people can eat raw sea grapes with sauces and combine with other foods to make up many delicious, strange and nutrious dishes. Sea grape is suitable for all ages, especially for children and older people, for both non-vegetarians and vegetarians. Moreover, it is also used to decorate the dishes or make natural skin care mask without preparation.
Currently, sea grape output in Japan is insufficient to meet consumer’s demand despite it high prices. Therefore, this vegetable is planted in the Central region of our country and is mainly exported to Japan because of good quality and reasonable price, only a small amount is sold in the domestic market.
